About the Journal

Sustainable Future Reports is an open-access international journal dedicated to publishing high-quality interdisciplinary research on sustainability, governance, public policy, and societal transformation. The journal provides a platform for theoretical, empirical, and policy-oriented studies that address contemporary sustainability challenges through innovative governance, institutional development, digital transformation, environmental stewardship, social inclusion, and sustainable economic development. It welcomes contributions from scholars and practitioners across the social sciences and related disciplines that promote evidence-based solutions for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and building resilient, inclusive, and sustainable communities at local, national, and global levels. The journal is published by Dealings Publishing, in collaboration with the Fakultas Ilmu Sosial & Ilmu Politik - Universitas Islam Riau, with a commitment to academic quality, research integrity, editorial independence, transparency, and the broad dissemination of scholarly knowledge.

Themes/challenges that we encourage authors to address include:

Evaluations of social experimentation to identify pathways for sustainability transformations of large-scale systems based on cooperation, mutuality, interdependence, and solidarity. Speculative considerations of the future of work, education, consumption, leisure, housing, quality of life, healthcare, and mobility that highlight emerging demonstrations of, and accelerate transitions toward, more sustainable lifestyles.

Scenario exercises that envisage alternative modes of social organization and anticipate ecologically secure and globally equitable futures. Analyses premised on post-growth economics, alternative indicators of individual and societal well-being, and inclusive and sufficient prosperity.

Contributions should:

Open up original theoretical and empirical lines of inquiry on initiatives to activate and accelerate sustainable system innovations. Demonstrate socially affirming and ecologically beneficial outcomes that empower individuals and organizations and facilitate social learning.
